About Her.

Liv DeToma is from a cow town. She didn’t grow up on a farm, but there is one at the end of the street she grew up on. After driving cross-country to relocate to Los Angeles in her car, she began circulating songwriter nights and open mics around the city. She has performed both solo and with a full band at venues like The Hotel Cafe, Adults Only, The Offbeat, The Melody Room, The North End, Boomtown Brewery, and the Melrose Trading Post Main Stage. Songwriter’s nights she has been apart of include Monday Monday and Writer’s Round LA, as well as multiple shows with Breaking Sound LA. After releasing ‘drifter,’ ‘push,’ 'riot,’ as singles, her first EP, ‘this is half a lie,’ debuted in 2025. Inspired by the nostalgia of her small-town roots, the project is a soulful take on alternative indie pop sits that comfortably amongst the work of artists like Maggie Rogers, Holly Humberstone, and Lizzy McAlpine. Liv’s world draws from her love of cinema, due to her background in filmmaking and photography. She received her Bachelor’s Degree in Cinema Studies from Oberlin College in order to gain the skills necessary to craft narratives that explore femininity, womanhood, and fear through the lens of the indie pop rock genre. In 2024, she shot her debut music video for ‘aston martin,’ which debuted in 2025. She is currently working on her next EP, which will have two singles, and she and her team are already in pre-production for the visuals.
